2024 Board of Trustee Candidates
Sarah Wimer is seeking a second term as a trustee, her family has lived in Palmyra since 2005. In her day job, she is an Associate Director of Project Management for the International Rescue Committee. Sarah has served on many local Boards in the past, and currently serves as the Treasurer for the Palmyra Masonic Temple Association, and a co-Leader for her daughter's Girl Scout troop, as well as serving our library community as the Vice President of the Palmyra Community Library
Board of Trustees.
Jennifer Cohen is running for her first term. She and her husband settled in Palmyra four years ago. She was born and raised in New Rochelle, New York and got her first taste of Western New York at SUNY Brockport; where she earned an Arts for Children degree. She earned her Master’s in mathematics from Iona College. Jennifer’s day jobs consists of an Art Teacher, a stay at home Mom, Yarn Shop owner, Activities Director at a nursing home and Quality Director. Jennifer is an active member of the Palmyra Community Library. She says this about libraries; “Being a part of the library has long been a source of inspiration for me, and I am thrilled to run for a position on the library board, where I hope to contribute my skills and passion to the community.”
